Pearce Valentine Shōtani (翔谷・ピアーズ・ヴァレンタイン) is a first year student who shows up in various club activities as a "helper of the athletic club", being more than competent in just about any sport he pops in to.

Pearce has jaw-length pink hair that is braided on the left side and pink eyes.
Like Akira Kariya, Pearce does not wear the typical blue blazer with has his white shirt nonchalantly unbuttoned and his red tie loose. However, he does wear the usual blue trousers and dress shoes and adds a jacket wrapped around his waist.
He also has a girlfriend, who didn’t appear in the anime.

- Pearce's surname Shōtani means "soar, fly, glide" (翔) (shō) and "valley" (谷) (tani).
